Home bleaching kits as well as expensive dentist bleaching can lead to similar results. The effectiveness of glycerin-based teeth whitening primarily depends on two factors: the concentration of the glycerin and the time the active ingredient is in contact with the teeth. DiamondSmile® uses the maximum amount of glycerin permitted in Germany in the teeth whitening bleaching set to brighten teeth. 

Dentists usually use the active ingredient hydrogen peroxide or carbamide peroxide. Both can strongly affect tooth enamel and gums and cause pain.

The whitening effect of the bleaching set usually lasts 1 to 2 years. After use, you should continue to take good care of your teeth. It is also advisable to limit staining foods and drinks such as coffee and tea. Smoking should also be avoided to ensure lasting results. If the effect fades, you can always get new teeth-whitening gel for your bleaching set from us.

The active ingredient glycerin is used to bleach the teeth and, through power LED activation technology, penetrates the enamel. The oxygen molecules of the bleaching agent contact the discolored molecules on the tooth, dissolving them and revealing the tooth’s natural white color.

Improve and prolong the bleaching effect with our activated charcoal. Using it before bleaching makes teeth even brighter, as the activated charcoal can already remove coarse discoloration. The bleaching effect is also prolonged through weekly use of activated charcoal.

The concentration of the active ingredient glycerin was chosen so that you can expect a maximum whitening effect without endangering your enamel. For the best possible application, we recommend following the instructions in the bleaching set. We also recommend visiting your dentist for a professional dental cleaning and to get advice on whether your teeth are suitable for a home bleaching set.

To get the best results with the bleaching set, you should follow these instructions: 

1. Gently brush your teeth with toothpaste 

2. Remove the thin plastic tab between the batteries 

3. Attach the mouthpiece to the LED light 

4. Apply 1/4 of the gel on the top and 1/4 on the bottom of the mouthpiece 

5. Place it in your mouth and switch on the light 

6. Wait 10 to 20 minutes before switching off the light 

7. Rinse your mouth with warm water 

8. Smile! 

The power LED light uses button cells (CR2450), which are included. For safety reasons, we placed a thin plastic tab between the battery and the switch to interrupt the contact.

Peroxides are highly acidic and attack your teeth, enamel and gums. This usually leads to hypersensitivity of your teeth and can cause irritation. For this reason, we do not use peroxides in our products.
